I was so intrigued by what cellular automata is and how it could be just a way to learn and see things with a different perspective ? I wasnt necessarily looking to see things differently but it always sort of takes you there when you are fascinated by something and CA was definitely that for me > the seeing rules everywhere now or CA
Maybe more classes - something we spoken about! But there is something about cellular automata that was great for more interaction between everyone! And the research element for example would have been a great element to incorporate but which we didnt have enough time -
I really loved all the content - and perhaps if there wasnt so much pressure to incorporate everything -
I dind’t do enough with materials - like knitting - this is something I’d like to sit down and explore more and do more!
We didn’t do it but play with bacteria, mold and so on - maybe food - fermentation - i dont know how this would be incorporated in Ca
I overthink a lot - all the time! Which is something i cope with but which makes things unnecessarily overwhelming - i remember people sharing how it their head was messy and they were some of my favourite moments !
And yes defo seeing everyone’s work - it was very inspiring and I learnt so much!
Wait - are there cellular automata rules on play while we are interacting? Surely the interactions we had are a form of neighbour - behaviour —-
Struggling w this one - outline was defo a bummer -
Creative moments - feelings were quite sporadic - I felt very inspired every week - and I had never considered inspiration w creativity until maybe now? Always seen creativity as the process in the middle and end but not the inspiration part
Yes with the subject of cellular automata and the many subjects that came through it - been able to see things with cellular automata feels like when you absorb something you identified with -
The idea of the what could be considered insignificant - like microbes, the things our senses cannot perceive - are so fascinating - makes me feel more grounded !
Jochem’s work experimenting in paper -
Nay words work
Hayley motion knitting - fascinated by animation made with physical materials
Eric’s painting
I cannot remember them all - will get back to this
I think i could easily make a mind map of everyones work and interconnect them w something i am interested in
